Sprout Social is looking for a highly driven, tech-savvy Sales Operations Specialist with strong business acumen to join our Sales Strategy team. This individual will be maintaining, monitoring and optimizing the sales engagement platform (Outreach.io) our Sales and Customer Success team members use to effectively communicate to our prospects and customers.
Our Sales and Customer Success teams work with more than 30,000 brands around the world including the Chicago Bulls, Sony Electronics, Indiana University, Make-a-wish Foundation, Edelman, and Subaru. These businesses rely on Sprout to create stronger relationships with their customers through social media.
This position will partner closely with Sales & Customer Success leadership, Sales Operations, Enablement and Marketing to ensure we are using our sales engagement platform as efficiently as possible to drive the success of our revenue generating teams.

Qualifications
These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:

  • 1+ years experience in Sales, Customer Success, Sales Operations or Sales Enablement within a fast paced tech environment, ideally enterprise software or B2B SaaS
  • 1+ years expertise with sales engagement tools such as Outreach.io, Salesloft or Groove with proficiency managing and monitoring sequences/cadences/templates, training and advising users, and troubleshooting issues.


Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:

  • Successful track record of being a partner to marketing, sales and customer success leadership, with the ability to prioritize and balance driving key business objectives with requirements across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong project management skills in an agile environment
  • Strong reporting background using standard reporting tools like Google Sheets and Excel
  • Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of new products
  • Strong understanding of effective sales engagement strategies and techniques
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM platform


Within 1 month, you will...

  • Complete Sprout Social's new hire training & onboarding program alongside other new Sprout team members. You'll gain a broader understanding of our products and how your role fits into the organization.
  • Partner with Sales Strategy leadership to define key success metrics for your role and how you will measure against them.
  • Acclimate yourself with the day to day responsibilities of managing our sales engagement platform by shadowing team members and receiving training on the current set up.
  • Meet key stakeholders to learn their needs and requirements and set up recurring syncs
  • Assess our current processes and practices as they relate to our sales engagement platform and make recommendations on future improvements


Within 3 months, you will...

  • Become fully ramped in your role as an Sales Operations Specialist and use your expertise to proactively monitor and maintain our platform configurations
  • Maintain regular coordination with our Sales Content lead to ensure messaging and content are in alignment with strategic business goals
  • Plan and act upon a strategic roadmap to improve content strategy, governance and permissions of the system
  • Start to create a library of documentation to educate and enable stakeholder teams on how to properly leverage the platform
  • Support the user base on day-to-day questions and concerns


Within 6 months, you will...

  • Be seen as the internal expert on sales engagement best practices with a particular focus on understanding and reporting on messaging and communication performance data and trends
  • Define the metrics and processes for determining effectiveness around templates and asset creation.
  • Communicate analytical findings, conclusions and recommendations to executives and senior management on quarterly or ad-hoc basis
  • Collaborate with our platform vendor on any system issues and bugs and enhance tool roadmap to support our evolving business needs.


Within 12 months, you will...

  • Obtain (solicited and unsolicited) and act upon peer and customer feedback.
  • Have a consistent and collaborative process for guiding content creation and Sales engagement strategy
  • Host regular meetings with stakeholders on the improvement and guidance of our Sales Engagement solution
  • Work with operations to create a repeatable and automated reporting framework making Sales engagement data more actionable and useful.
