About The Role

As the Sales Training Manager; your top priority will be giving sales & sales support personas the knowledge, skills and tools they need to meet their expectations successfully and ramp quickly in their new role at G2. Reporting directly to our Head of Sales Training & Enablement, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering onboarding programs and continued learning paths for varying roles within the revenue team to ensure knowledge retention and goal attainment.

You’ll work closely with the Sales and Customer Success leadership teams to identify knowledge gaps, make suggestions for improvement as needed, and ensure our sales team is fully educated to perform at a high level --ultimately driving improved sales skills and product knowledge, and increased customer satisfaction and revenue results for G2. 


Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the planning, coordination and facilitation of the sales onboarding program and certification process that is customized by job role, location and experience in conjunction with the Sales, Customer Success and Product Marketing leadership teams
  • Develop metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and rate of adoption and application 
  • Proactively identify gaps in onboarding and continuously improve them by staying current market trends and the changing demands of the corporate sales environment 
  • Provide feedback on new hires to the respective leadership teams to quickly identify concerns or areas of focus for ongoing training to ensure employees are fast-tracked for success 
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement partners to create targeted role-based learning paths and resources in our learning management system
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and develop new approaches and techniques to ensure continued success
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training record, and stay current with employee development trends
  • Stay current with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations


Desired Skills

  • 5-7+ years experience in a sales training role in the SaaS industry with a deep understanding of sales processes and principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage the full sales training cycle through creative & innovative presentations
  • Unique balance of creative skills, with a highly technical and detailed understanding of how different technologies can work together 
  • Exceptional project management skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams 
  • Extensive knowledge of learning principles and modern training techniques
  • Highly developed interpersonal and coaching skills and familiarity with performance management methods
  • Very self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Experience with Bridge and Salesforce preferred
  • Prior administrator-level use of learning management software and/or additional certification(s) in training is a plus
