Department OverviewThe Worldwide Sales Operations organization leads the strategy, development, and delivery of sales tools & processes that enable an efficient, effective selling organization. This group is responsible for every day sales tools our sellers, customers and partners use to drive Sales Growth, including: CRM solutions (Salesforce.com) and Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ). It is our mission to help deliver the best set of tools, data & processes that will enable our Worldwide Sales organization to drive continuous sales growth.
Job Description
The Salesforce Automation Consultant role is responsible for deploying and supporting sales tools within Salesforce that enable our sellers to “sell more” and “sell faster.” This role is part of a team focused on delivering new sales tools and processes in the areas of Customer Data Management, Customer and Partner Relationship Management, Sales Forecasting, Sales Quoting, and general Sales Enablement.
The Salesforce Automation Consultant will be responsible but not limited to the following:
As part of a team, define and execute the global design and deployment of new digital CRM (Salesforce) functionality and business processes to new and existing user groups
Identify, develop and implement process improvements, tools, or other changes to improve accuracy and operational efficiency
Partner with regional sales operations teams to develop & enable new functionality, business processes for new and existing user groups to gain accuracy and efficiency
Stay current on changes/upgrades to the Salesforce platform
Gather business requirements and develop new business processes as part of design activities
Subject matter expert on go-to-market processes and channel strategies
Determine use cases and develop test scenarios. Write test scripts and participate in user acceptance testing.
Develop strategies to drive adoption, improve efficiencies and increase benefits to the Sales team
Develop business readiness plans for tool or new capability launches, including change management, training, communication, and support plans
Conduct internal sales training on business processes and system functionality related to Salesforce
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Bachelors Degree is required. MBA is a plus
5+ years experience in Salesforce Automation
Experience with administration of the Salesforce CRM platform
Self-motivated and ability to operate with limited direction in a fast-paced project driven environment
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with ability to work under short deadlines
Ability to work as both part of a large transformational program, as well as within a small functional organization
Ability to foster collaborative and effective working relationships to build consensus with cross-functional teams such as regional Sales operations, IT, Software Enterprise, Legal, Marketing, & Services
Ability to lead transformational business change across sales channels, geographic regions, internally and externally
Possess critical thinking and investigation skills
Keen attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required
Experience working with Oracle ERP systems, Oracle CPQ & other Business Operations IT applications is a plus
Experience/Knowledge of the Two-way radio or communications equipment market a plus
