The Coupons team is an affiliate marketing segment of the Groupon business aiming to partner with top national brands looking to drive incremental sales via Groupon’s expansive push marketing platform and Groupon.com & mobile app marketplace. Unlike other couponing sites that rely solely on SEO, Groupon Coupons is focused on leveraging its expansive database of customers. From new customer acquisition through to checkout conversion, we provide solutions for our partners through the entire customer journey.

 

As part of the Coupons Sales Team, Account Managers focus on growing revenue for existing mid-market Coupons clients, as well as onboarding new and prospective clients. Through a passion for building client relationships, you will build a portfolio focused on exceeding client expectations and anticipating the demands of rapid growth and innovation. You will work with both online and brick and mortar national retailers and deliver quality marketing solutions tailored to their needs.

 

You’ll spend your time on the following:

  • Nurturing and growing a portfolio of existing accounts

  • Onboarding new national merchants and launching affiliate programs

  • Developing and executing strategic growth plans for key accounts including cross-selling of multiple Groupon products

  • Preparing and presenting media proposals to influence senior level executives and other key decision makers

  • Forging solid partnerships with key merchant partners, including marketing, sales, and operations

  • Regularly interacting with affiliate networks, agencies, and direct brands

  • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders including operations, merchandising, accounts payable, content, and others as needed

  • Working to achieve business critical metrics as defined by Sales and Revenue Management

  • Developing and sharing insights with internal Groupon teams that will help drive enhanced merchant and customer experiences

  • Implementing new processes as necessary to support a growing portfolio

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • BS/BA degree in marketing, business or other related field
  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience, 4-5 years of affiliate sales required

  • Tenacity in your sales approach, yet appreciate the power of flexibility in crafting business partnerships

  • Proven success with fast moving sales or technology companies

  • A track record of consistently exceeding sales revenue target with ease

  • Demonstrated digital media/marketing planning experience and or knowledge base

  • Eagerness to learn and understand merchant/industry specific elements of affiliate marketing

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Tableau

  • A successful track record of  working with Commission Junction, Rakuten Linkshare, and/or other affiliate networks

  • Sound decision-making, sales instincts, and problem-solving skills
