The Senior Deal Desk Manager will be a strategic adviser to sales and the business on all aspects of deal strategy, particularly in offering order oversight to ensure sales agreements abide by our bookings policy and order framework. The role ensures each order is confirmed and validated after execution in a timely fashion and/or escalated as necessary. This role reports through the Chief of Staff; eventually through the Head of Revenue Ops.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to build and maintain a best in class order workflow, considerate of our partners, customers and business complexity
  • Guide deal structure and strategy to sales team; identify and recommend changes to deal structures in response to observed behavior in the field
  • Manage deal flow process and ensure smooth handoffs to finance, legal, and product teams; drive enhancements to the quote-to-order processes and policies
  • Function as point of contact and subject matter expert for sales on pricing and licensing to provide deal structuring and quoting support to our global sales teams
  • Spearhead new initiatives to help drive further automation and efficiency within deal desk
  • Ensure data quality with closed opportunities, order forms, contracts and subscriptions in sales tools and systems; drive adherence to internal controls, protocols and business rules
  • Install contract oversight to surface and track important revenue metrics, escalating any potential issues as required
  • Support our contract data flow and organization from quoting to cash collection and reporting
  • Prepare bookings, invoicing, and renewal reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Support our Go-To-Market teams on best practice deal management & contract structuring. Monitor deals through the sales cycle & our approval process in collaboration with Sales, Revenue Operations and Finance functions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Extensive experience in deal desk, order operations, sales enablement or equivalent deal desk sales operations roles
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with diverse cross-functional stakeholders and drive consensus to meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze, model and recommend the best course of action for complex pricing, negotiations, and business situations
  • Ability to manage the opportunity with new customers that require a combination of contracts that can include an order form, MSSA and SOW to be executed
  • Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Well-organized, strong communication skills and ability to manage and influence direct and indirect reports with high motivation for continuous improvement and ability to drive impact
  • Experience architecting and managing revenue systems from ground up - forecasting (Clari), CRM (Salesforce), and Marketing Automation (Marketo)
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask as well as excitement to roll up your sleeves and contribute to all parts of the Cribl’s operations.  We are a lean team and wear many hats!
