InfoScout is looking for a Senior Director, Team Leader of Retailer Business Development to lead a team of Retailer Sales Directors and direct go to market strategy for retailer business development. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales hunter, with the ability to lead and grow a team of sales reps focused on growing InfoScout's business with retailers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead sales efforts with assigned Retailer accounts
- Close new business to establish partnerships with new retailer (land)
- Manage and grow existing retailer relationships, ensuring the renewal of annual subscriptions and selling in new solutions (expand)
- Establish senior level relationships with assigned accounts to ensure that InfoScout is considered a trusted partner who adds significant value to the retailer and their consumer goods manufacturer suppliers (scale)
- Manage and Build a growing team of Sales executives, focused on sales to retailers
- Manage existing retailer sales team to ensure that quota objectives are being met, career development plans are developed, and coach for continuous performance improvement
- Responsible for sales training and enablement for the retailer sales team
- Recruit and hire a best in class sales team
- Develop and enhance the go to market strategy with retailers
- Work with VP of Sales and product team to identify total market opportunity for new retailer channels and solutions that grow our retailer business
- Manage and develop partnerships with retailer loyalty data providers that will enhance InfoScout's data in a way that drives more value for retailers and CPG manufacturers
- Design retailer programs that grow our revenue with both retailers and CPG manufacturers
- Hunter with enterprise SaaS software sales experience, with particular emphasis on building new relationships and opening new accounts
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner, including consecutively exceeding past sales quotas
- Deep understanding of multiple facets of retailer and consumer products with prior experience selling into marketing, shopper or consumer insights
- Deep understanding of the sales process with the ability to engage senior level executives in strategic meetings to insure top down alignment regarding strategy and objectives
- Skilled at building and managing customer relationships, including stakeholder management
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- Understanding of household panel data (NPD, Nielsen and/or IRI) is a plus
- Microsoft Office expertise (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Experience Required
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred) with 5+ years relevant experience
- A minimum of 5-10 years of software sales experience, selling into consumer products and retailers, in the functional areas of Brand Marketing, Market Research, Category Management, and/or Shopper & Consumer Insights
- Working knowledge of NPD, Nielsen or IRI data/solutions is a plus
- Working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries is highly valued (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, NPD)
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence software such as Microstrategy, Tableau, QlikView, or Business Objects
- Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com and its use for updating accounts, opportunities, and deal stages

- U.S. based – Chicago or Dallas preferred, but not mandatory
