The Role 

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated Solution Implementation Consultant - ERP for the rollout of GTI’s Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations ERP for supply chain operations. This role will be a part of a highly visible, strategic team focused on aligning business objectives with tactical demands.

This role will be responsible for the rollout and maintenance of MS Dynamics Supply Chain Management applications within the Finance & Operations suite from an IT perspective, across GTI locations. This role will collaborate with GTI’s MSDynamics configuration team, solution architect, project manager(s), and business stake holders to learn, understand, and ensure that the solution is configured appropriately for the multiple sites taking into consideration the differences in operations across GTI locations & entities.

The role is located at GTI’s corporate head office in Chicago, IL, USA, supporting GTI locations across the US. Required Skills

This individual should be conversant with MS Dynamics functional configuration capabilities to guide the business stakeholders in incorporating the best practices offered by the system in their business processes and operations, and will need to possess functional expertise of the solution in the following:

  • Product Information Mgmt
  • Procurement with Inventory Mgmt
  • Basic & Advanced Warehouse Mgmt
  • Sales & Marketing
  • AP/AR/GL with Costing
  • MRP with Master Planning
  • Production Execution with Quality
  • PowerBI Dashboards & Reporting
  • Integration to and from external systems

Implementation and rollout experience include the following activities:

  • Providing insight into MS Dynamics functionality and best practices in the solution
  • Aligning market-wise business needs with the global template prepared for the initial site
  • Preparing business process flowcharts, and functional requirements documents
  • Providing functional expertise for solution configuration & integration to external systems, working closely with technical consultants
  • Leading the data conversion and migration tasks
  • Leading system & acceptance testing cycles
  • Participating in user training sessions
  • Defining user role & security configuration
  • Providing inputs to the cloud maintenance team for deployment
  • Providing post-implementation support for un-interrupted operations
  • Providing expertise for continuous improvement & configuration of the solution to support evolving business needs
  • Project management

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Green Thumb’s MS Dynamics configuration team and convert available legacy data into the format needed for import to the MS Dynamics repository. This includes current open data and historical data, where available
  • Participate in the business requirements and configuration workshops and learn the corporate business process, and the related solution configurations for the global template and be able to rollout the solution to GTI’s markets
  • Work closely with the configuration team while implementing the initial corporate site and learn the GTI implementation process
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, when required and guide the user base in creating test scripts and other solution artifacts, and conducting training of GTI users
  • Rollout the initial site configuration to GTI’s other site users managing the data conversion needs, user roles and access configuration
  • Provide day-to-day operations support to the user group to resolve issues, provide clarifications, escalate to service / solution provider as needed, and take ownership of the solution at GTI
  • Effectively participate in all stages of the ERP software configuration & implementation lifecycle, followed by day-to-day operational support
  • Project management of the deployment and rollout activities
  • Demonstrate strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.

Job Qualifications/Education  

  • BA/BS Degree with specialization in computer sciences or equivalent technology
  • 5 years of progressive and in-depth experience in MS Dynamics Supply Chain Management solution configuration and maintenance for CPG / Retail industry including manufacturing with quality order
  • Knowledge of integration methodologies to external systems using SOAP, REST, ODATA, and DIX Framework as well as Azure cloud hosting
  • Good understanding of CPG retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and related supply chain & finance functions, and processes

  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications and collaboration tools like Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
