Sr Manager, Team Lead (Office of the CIO)

West Monroe Partners is seeking a “Team Lead – Office of the CIO” for the Information Collaboration & Technology (ICT) team. The “Team Lead – ICT Office” will work with the CIO to ensure the ICT organization is:
- Doing the right things: Applying a consistent and strategic approach to the application of information and collaboration technology across the enterprise
- Doing things right: Ensuring ICT is using consistent, transparent and efficient approaches to the way the organization delivers value to the business
- We are looking for an experienced Team Lead who possesses a strong attention to detail, enjoys hands-on engagement, and has a successful track record in ICT leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Process: Facilitate the creation of strategy and strategic plan that will contribute to business success; the strategy should include:
o Mission, vision and guiding principles
o Roles and responsibilities (including a high-level RACI chart)
o Methods and standards (e.g., ITIL, agile/ scrum, etc.) used to guide best practices
o Goals, and alignment to business priorities and strategy
o Process for refresh and reprioritization on a quarterly basis to remain aligned to emerging business priorities
o Plan for communicating, and reinforcing strategy with full ICT team
- Governance: Collaborate with the ‘Enterprise Program Management Office’ (ePMO), other ICT Team Leads and other West Monroe leadership to orchestrate the governance mechanisms ensuring that the appropriate decisions are made to implement the business and ICT strategy
- Portfolio management: Provide transparency to the total ICT investment portfolio
- Financial management: Develop, present and manage the ICT budget; providing transparency to ICT costs , identifying areas of focus, variability and plans related to both; measure the benefits of ICT investments
- Workforce strategy: Develop the workforce strategy for the ICT organization, determine the appropriate staffing levels, manage the talent pipeline and professional development are aligned with strategies and strategic plans Determine and deliver on efforts to maintain engagement, and retain key staff
- Strategic supplier management: Analyze and anticipate future ICT procurement needs, and ensure these needs are met through high-quality strategic relationships with key vendors. Collaborate with the West Monroe Procurement function to ensure consistent process execution
- Performance management: Define, maintain and report on the metrics that will be followed to track the progress of ICT achievements against objectives (including operational performance and business value delivered)
- ICT marketing and communication: Position the value of ICT and the role of the IT organization within the enterprise. Ensure effective communication of the strategy and strategic plan to key stakeholders, as well as internally to ICT employees to drive the right priorities and behaviors. Establish consistent mechanisms for reporting against established success criteria, and for escalation and resolution of roadblocks.
- Develop nascent capabilities: Assist with the definition and evolution of new standards and practices. Model good execution of nascent capabilities. Some examples of nascent capabilities are agile/ scrum.
- West Monroe Partners business relationship management, product/ portfolio ownership, change management, quality assurance, compliance, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's (BA or BS) degree or similar professional experience
• 12+ years in IT and business/industry
• 5-7+ years of leadership responsibilities
• Experience in business/industry (beyond IT), managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
• Ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across the ICT organization
• Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent small and large group facilitation skills
