RXBAR Territory Sales Managers are responsible building relationships and ensuring flawless execution within the grocery customers in their territory. This role is responsible for selling and marketing all retail categories of products under the RXBAR brand. 

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, a strong collaborator, has great organization and communication skills, can work independently, and is hungry to grow a new brand in a new territory.

General Functions + Job Responsibilities:

Store Level

  • Build strong relationships at store level so that RXBAR is the first brand considered for secondary placement throughout the stores.
  • Be the eyes and ears for the team in the market checking on, and sharing with the team:
    • Distribution versus planogram
    • Voids
    • Out of stock and inventory levels
    • Pricing and promotion execution
    • Display compliance
    • Competitors pricing, promotion and distribution strategy
    • New market entrants
    • Competitor market activity
  • Leverage insight from Category Insights & Sales Support to elevate RXBAR’s presence on shelf
  • Build strong relationships with merchandising teams, train new merchandising members, perform frequent ride-alongs and collaborate on market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager and National Account Managers to understand and execute on opportunities at regional account stores.
  • Identify and build relationships within retailer’s vendor network (distributors, merchandisers, brokers, etc)

Retailers

  • Present the brand and sales story to buyers for assigned accounts
  • Present on and ensure execution of new product launches, new items, promotions and secondary placements
  • Identify promotional programs, secure promotional and off-shelf commitments and ensure chain wide execution
  • Identify and build relationships within the retailer’s vendor network and territory (distributors, merchandisers, brokers, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution and continue to drive growth within retailers
  • Collaborate with Category Insights to prepare for and present business reviews
  • Train and manage assigned broker partners

Cross Functional

  • Collaborate with Category & Sales Operations to elevate RXBAR’s presence on shelf and prepare for retailer meetings.
  • Work with Field Marketing team in designated region to assist with and coordinate demos, events, industry opportunities, etc.
  • Actively participate in trade shows and customer shows
  • Maintain excellent customer and RXBAR employee interdepartmental relationships

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for growing our business
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2+ years of experience in retail sales and merchandising in the grocery industry
  • Knowledge and passion for of the natural and organic food
  • Excellent communication skills with external customers, peers, supervisors, and internal supporting departments
  • Has a home office and is able to work independently and remotely
  • Proven integrity in life/employment and honesty in dealings with others
  • Ideal to have established relationships with retailers within the Territory
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings. Occasional and event related weekend work is required.
  • Reside in managed territory and have access to a car
