Responsibilities

  • Reinforces a positive working environment through a strong, effective and collaborative leadership style, and ongoing communications with the team and internal SMS peers.
  • Partners with HR team to ensure the department is effectively staffed and trained.
  • Responsible for staff coaching, mentoring and evaluation, delivers feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Identifies and develops high potential team members with a strong succession plan in place.
  • Manages poor performance swiftly and effectively.
  • Monitors quality and details of work product and accuracy of information.
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Supports the selling of our solutions to client leadership by developing relationships with leaders outside of the organization.
  • Assists in the presentation and demonstration of SMS technology to prospective clients; organizes and leads individual group meetings.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the team in both technology and operational questions.
  • Leverages internal resources to enhance the prospect and customer experience in sales opportunities.
  • Maintains effective and collaborative relationships internally across SMS departments, adding value and knowledge to discussions.
  • Fosters a positive team environment.
  • Ensures confidentiality of internal and external data.
  • Performs ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Builds and presents business assessments/ business cases.
  • Works with IT and Product team to enhance technology demo environment.
  • Acts as a technical liaison between the direct sales teams and the product teams.
  • Domestic travel required up to 75%.

Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 5 years of sales experience and a minimum of 3 years of complex sales / business development to executives in large organizations, ideally in technology or services required
  • Significant knowledge and history of sales process, methodology and data required
  • History of success in Business Development / Sales roles in Facilities/Property sector

 

    Other Relevant Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business or relevant degree preferred
