VP, Sales Client Development (Remote Optional)

Basis Technologies is headquartered in Chicago, with beautiful offices also in Toronto, Dallas, Denver, and New York to name a few. Our employees have the flexibility to work in one of our office locations, completely remote, or a hybrid of the two. Please note, we are hiring on a remote working basis only in the U.S. and Canada.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The VP of Client Development is responsible for leading and inspiring a team of driven, ambitious sellers with large revenue growth responsibilities. They, alongside their team, will grow Basis Technologies' footprint within a specific geographical region by selling through Basis Technologies' technology and services offerings. They will coach and support their team in cultivating new and growing existing client relationships. The VP of Client Development is fueled by curiosity, has a will to win and leads with positivity, accountability and optimism.
WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
This position is a leadership role on the sales team. You will be primarily responsible for coaching and supporting your team and positioning Basis Technologies as a best-in-class partner. You will contribute by:
- Leading a team of Directors (where appropriate) and Sales Leads in a “software first” sales approach to drive new revenue opportunities and grow existing relationships.
- Managing a team and territory responsible for $10+ million in revenue which includes exceeding annual revenue goals
- Identifying key opportunities to expand Basis’ footprint within region through workflow automation software and media activation conversations and partnerships.
- Engaging senior level and executive (C-Suite) business leaders in high level, consultative conversations and articulating how Basis’s offerings can help to solve their business challenges.
- Coaching and mentoring Directors and Account Leads throughout complex sales cycles.
- Facilitating new business conversations within professional network
- Leading by example and embodying Basis Technologies core philosophies
- Creating a diverse and inclusive environment for colleagues and clients.
- Participating in applicable trainings provided by E&D: sales management and leadership training, Basis certification as well as other potential internal and third-party trainings that are developed and offered.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 8-10+ years of experience in digital AdTech sales
- 2+ years of management experience
- A refined professional network that includes established senior-level relationships at agencies or brands
- Business acumen to help drive senior-level conversations within ad agencies and brands regarding automation and ad technology solutions that improve operational efficiencies.
- Experience in managing complex sales/contract cycles and closing high-value, multi-year deals
- Excellent software demonstration skills and ability to lead strategic discussions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across organizations
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Curiosity and desire to improve the advertising industry through automation solutions
- Ability to travel

- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- The ability to stay highly organized, optimistic, and coachable through quickly changing situations
- CRM experience (Salesforce, Hubspot, Zoho, etc)
- Programmatic Certification (extra points for Basis certification)
