Description:

The VP of Client Development will be a key member of the Solutions Team responsible for client development, managing a current portfolio of business and identifying growth opportunities within a select set of Fortune 100 consumer goods clients.  The successful candidate will have an “executive level presence” and an aggressive “self-starter” mentality that can thrive in an entrepreneurial fast paced growth environment. The ability to close, overcome objections, understand complex business issues, up-sell, cross-sell, navigate large multi-faceted organizations, present, write proposals, follow-up and work effectively with InContext’s internal teams, will be key in succeeding in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the client relationship and drive new business within while leveraging InContext’s entire product and service offering
  • Oversee the execution of existing creative services (SaaS, visualization and market research projects)
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and objectives; many of which come from one of several areas of their companies, including shopper marketing, shopper insight, consumer insight, category management, brand and trade marketing
  • Strategically position InContext at the Executive level  and effectively launch sales campaigns to gain visibility across functional groups
  • Maintain a strong relationship with multiple cross functional teams to ensure all team members working on a project understand the client’s point of view to help meet their strategic goals

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience developing and leading strategic  client relationship,  preferably in CPG within Category Management, Sales and Shopper Marketing insights
  • A deep understanding of common business challenges encountered by consumer goods manufacturers and retailers
  • Familiarity with market research.  Experience using market research (directly or indirectly) as a solution to solve client’s business issues is a major plus
  • An innate sense of curiosity and entrepreneurship, along with a desire to independently solve business challenges with customized solutions
  • Motivation and confidence to develop and close new business opportunities within an existing portfolio of clients
  • Proven ability to build and develop strong and trusting relationships with clients at all levels
  • Someone who is comfortable working and communicating with senior executives both over the phone and in person
