We're currently hiring a VP of Industrial Market Sales to join our team!

Position Accountability and Specific Duties:

The Group Vice President Sales - Industrial is responsible for leading an integrated team to support customers achieve their Environmental, Health, and Safety goals in the Industrial market.  This includes responsibility for sales, marketing, business development and strategic relationship functions for Sphera's operational risk, environmental performance and product stewardship portfolio. 

Major responsibilities at Sphera will include:

  • Developing and management of sales strategy for delivery of Sphera operational risk, environmental performance and product stewardship solutions in the industrial vertical.
  • Managing business development efforts for the Sphera industrial market.
  • Managing strategic business relationships with key service and/or consulting partners as they relate to the industrial vertical.
  • Manage a team of specialized Strategic Account Managers (SAM) implementing globally consistent practices for forecast, pipeline, territory management, and quota setting processes.
  • Utilize reporting of sales numbers, forecasts, pipeline and SAM productivity, etc.
  • Build trust-based, value added relationships with key business unit stakeholders.
  • Strategize and implement revenue generating sales initiatives by leveraging relationships with product specialists, alliances, and marketing.
  • Provide Senior Leadership with reporting and analytics on Sales performance as needed.
  • Lead P&L optimization and planning
  • Hire great talent to support sales function

Job Requirements:

  • 15+ years of sales experience preferably selling SAAS based solutions in the industrial sector.
  • Sales team management experience required. Sales leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in developing, leading, and executing a global sales strategy
  • Has experience in leading sales initiatives in diverse environments. Has developed and implemented strategies for revenue growth that capitalize on the unique nature of specific environments, leveraging partner and other relationships creatively without being tied to a specific approach. Appropriately adapts and leverages products, services and operations to effectively compete in competitive markets.
  • Solid experience in managing strategic sales efforts and significant demonstrable success in building value and growth in vertical target markets
  • Accountability for driving revenue growth across business lines to include identification of revenue drivers and metrics - monthly monitoring of revenue and sales by product and market - creating visibility with all market owners on revenue trends and actions to drive revenues to plan
  • P&L experience; comprehensive understanding of sales operations, both systems and processes
  • Demonstrates high level of influence at senior level, negotiation & facilitation skills
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge in operations strategy, trends, issues and data analysis to deliver against business objectives
  • Ability to “see past the numbers,” apply creative concepts to devise solutions, and effectively present these concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience/understanding.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication skills and proven ability to drive teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and ability to navigate and excel in a complex, heavily matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills are essential, including the ability to relate successfully to a variety of people externally and internally, and to form strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all colleagues
