Position Overview:                                                                                                                                      

The Secondary Marketing Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day efforts in the Pricing, Best Execution, Loan Sales, and Hedging Processes for the Origination functions. The candidate will be dealing with several departments in their role including Funding, Delivery, and Accounting. Qualified candidates will have a basic understanding of the concepts of finance, bond math, and an interest in capital markets.

Working Relationships: 

The Secondary Marketing Analyst will report to the Executive Director of Capital Markets

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Producing daily reports on position and profitability of mortgage origination unit
• Completing lock requests and monitoring lock changes
• Creating reports for improving workflows of the underlying units
• Executing loan sales to investors or creating MBS for sale to investors
• Assessing performance through empirical data analysis
• Performing periodic validation of Assumptions & Output for all models/technology used.

Job Requirements

• The right candidate will be flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, and have strong analytical skills
• High Proficiency in Excel with interest to develop SQL queries
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, peers, and management
• Basic understanding of Capital Markets
• General knowledge on the concepts of Bond Math
• Mortgage Industry Experience a plus but not required
• Prior Secondary Marketing Experience a plus but not required
