Senior Finance Associate - Controllership
Seeking to hire a Senior Finance Associate within our Controllership Team. The Controllership Team is a dynamic, hardworking, and collaborative team responsible for managing the accounting, tax, real estate, and treasury functions within ZS.
Controllership is expected to bring logic, discipline, a controls mindset, and expertise to our business stakeholders. Internal stakeholders include senior leadership, client teams and other enterprise groups, while external stakeholders include our network of lenders, insurance agencies, and tax professionals.
Candidate must be highly motivated and must possess a strong accounting background, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to understand ZS's business. Geographically, our team is in Chicago and Pune, India.
What You'll Do :

• Lead the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and manage the annual financial statement audit process
• Provide assurance to support the accuracy and completeness of our results in accordance with global directives, internal policies, and US GAAP as applicable
• Work with Controllership team members to ensure a high quality of accounting output for quarterly financial statements and monthly management reports for use by internal stakeholders, which include departmental heads and senior business leaders.
• Collaborate with functional leads and other Controllership members in the implementation and adherence to global accounting processes
• Lead technical accounting research and process development for new accounting requirements
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to support ZS's global income tax strategy and achieve ZS leadership's objectives
• Support the Controllership team's management of ZS's acquisition strategy, including M&A accounting and process integration
• Improve existing finance processes, and design and implement new ones as needed. Collaborate with function leads to translate compliance requirements into effective process-based solutions, utilizing available systems and resources. Identify opportunities to add value to the Finance team's services
• Supervise and mentor junior controllership team members. Actively participate in the development of controllership team members, provide coaching and assist in elevating the capabilities of direct reports
• Lead and participate in other special projects as necessary

What You'll Bring:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or related area, with strong academic credentials
• 3-6 years of relevant experience required, preferably in financial reporting, controllership, or audit functions
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting and analysis, and SOX compliance
• Motivated self-starter who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with ability to efficiently achieve work results while maintaining high quality
• Ability to recognize opportunities to create process improvements and efficiencies
• SAP experience is a plus
