Summary of Responsibilities:
- Home Chef is in a dynamic period of growth and is looking for a Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join the growing finance team. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing numerous aspects of financial and business analysis and enjoy being involved in the business from a financial perspective. The FP&A Analyst will help drive KPI analyses, ad hoc reporting and analysis and board of director reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset and is prepared to help create and improve financial analysis and related processes, as the Company continues to grow. The FP&A Analyst should also feel comfortable interacting with and presenting to executive leadership.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Use system resources to build out robust monthly management financial reporting and Board of Director materials
- Solid understanding of fundamentals of business economics – profitability, operational efficiency and long-term value
- Take ownership of managing KPI reporting process including revenue, LTV, retention, customer acquisition costs, and cohort analysis
- Work to streamline the existing reporting tools and build out new reporting processes (“build something from scratch” mentality)
- Regularly analyze operating results identify meaningful business trends and elevate noteworthy items to executive management
- Advanced problem-solving skills with Excel and detailed understanding of data mining, manipulation, and reconciliation
- Solve problems by interacting with other functional teams within the Home Chef organization
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required; a CPA or MBA is preferred
- Minimum 4 years of progressive finance and accounting experience and a minimum of 1 year of supervisory or project management experience
- Proven creative problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate current processes for improvements
- Entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to build out functions and processes from a clean slate, roll up your sleeves attitude
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
- Ability to motivate team to produce quality materials by deadlines
- Ability to participate in a team environment and facilitate group meetings
- Personal attributes:
- Self-starter, initiates as opposed to reacts with a proven “take-charge” record of accomplishment
- Strong work ethic; e.g. “roll-up your sleeves” leader
- Demonstrated passion and energy with focus on execution and results
- Displays stamina, energy and is committed to personal growth and development of self and others
- Advanced MS Excel experience required
- Prior experience working within ERP systems and within manufacturing environments a plus
