Job Description

We’re looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in Ruby on Rails and a strong foundation in Python, Django, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to join our growing team. You’ll play a crucial role in enhancing our tech stack and driving product functionality forward.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and Python/Django.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and improve product functionality.
• Build and maintain front-end components using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, ensuring responsive and user-friendly experiences.
• Implement best practices in software development, testing, and version control (Git).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them into Neon for Life’s tech stack as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience working with Ruby on Rails.
• Solid knowledge of Python and Django frameworks.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
• Experience with database design and management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the financial services industry is a plus.
• Proven experience working in seed to Series B startups is a must.

• Take ownership of key projects, driving them from conception to deployment.
• Work closely with the cofounders and the rest of the team to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Enhance and extend Neon for Life’s current tech stack, adding new features and improving product stability.
