Job DescriptionAs the Senior Category Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing activities for a variety of indirect categories including but not limited to IT, Marketing, Professional Services, etc. You will work closely with global business/functional leaders across all of Fortune Brands to develop & implement sourcing strategies that would effectively reduce the total cost of ownership of category spend, leveraging world-class negotiation skills, tools, and processes. You will lead the transformations in collaboration with our stakeholders of all impacted organizational functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute effective sourcing and demand management strategies to reduce our Total Cost of Ownership of assigned indirect spend categories such as IT, Marketing and Professional Services.
- Partner with key stakeholders and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, business objectives, supply requirements, and priorities.
- Build and manage project pipeline of assigned categories through category expertise, stakeholder collaboration, and buy-in.
- Overall responsibility for developing, communicating, and implementing procurement strategies. Drive compliance.
- Achieve stakeholders’ business requirements leveraging best practices to effectively deliver value - cost reductions/avoidance, risk mitigation, process improvements, supplier consolidation, etc.
- Develop category management expertise and industry knowledge within the established portfolio set to provide insights that influence actionable outcomes.
- Implement the industry’s best practices through cross-functional engagement.
- Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP. Negotiate supplier agreements.
- Deliver savings and cost optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement driving savings & launching strategic sourcing initiatives in collaborations with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth experience sourcing IT, Marketing and Professional Services.
- Exposure to best-in-class procurement practices including extensive end-to-end experience in Sourcing process, Spend Analysis, Supplier & Industry Analysis, RFx expertise, and contract negotiations.
- Able to travel domestically as needed.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $81,000 USD - $124,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
