So this is where you come in!  As we continue to expand globally, we are looking for a Senior Quality Development Engineer for our Chicago, IL office. 

What you will be doing:

  • You will ensure that our products and/or services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance
  • You will plan and organize the necessary test passes; staying on top of all important issues, help triaging bugs and driving issues to resolutions and keeping everyone aware of QA status
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • You will drive continuous improvement through failure/defect analysis and add automated critical tests in regression test library
  • You will participate in Agile Cross Functional team activities and assure a close loop traceability for product priority issues
  • Work with both onsite and offshore team to set their priorities and remove their roadblocks to make sure sufficient coverage is done for the release

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • You have your Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant major
  • You possess at least 9 years of quality assurance experience in testing (manual and automated)
    • Experience with both server side (including middle layer components) and UI functional testing
    • Hands-on experience with integration testing
    • Hands-on experience with WSDL and REST APIs testing
    • Experience on building/maintaing test automation framework - automation using Java/JavaScript based technologies is preferable
  • You have strong hands-on QA experience for Enterprise/Analytics Solutions with multiple components
  • You are experienced across the end-to-end QA process, test verification, and validation methodologies
  • You have used standard bug management tools (preferred JIRA) and test management tools
  • Hands on at Database queries (MySQL, NoSQL, Big data).
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS
  • Good at Shell scripting.
  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructure

Skills that will set you apart:

  • Good at programming skills (Any Object oriented programing/scripting is a plus)
  • Exposure to messaging queue implementation testing
  • Exposure to Docker based deployments
