Key Responsibilities
- Oversee revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
- Perform monthly revenue close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Review customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition treatment.
- Review customer contracts to ensure accurate billing and revenue reporting.
- Analyze deferred revenue and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Assist in financial audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
- Continuously improve revenue processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the implementation and optimization of revenue accounting systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree, Accounting focus preferred. CPA a plus but not required.
- 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a SaaS or technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with Sage Intacct a plus and revenue recognition software such as Zuora or Maxio.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
