Senior Sales Director, Channel Partner Development

We are currently seeking a top performing Sr. Sales Director for our Channel Partner Development team with proven results selling mobile marketing technology to major marketers. This is an individual contributor/ hunter role that will work alongside and in tandem with our strategic Channel partners to help them quickly qualify, pursue and close their identified client opportunities. The top candidate will be an experienced consultative seller with exceptional client facing abilities, professional integrity, and a passion for cutting edge technology and mobile marketing solutions. Must be open to learning from others and selling cooperatively. This is a unique opportunity within a high growth company to establish, innovate and sell global marketing solutions with Vibes’ international partners. This position reports directly to the VP of Channel Partners, and will be based at our convenient downtown Chicago headquarters. Approximately 40% travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist our strategic Channel partners in aggressively prospecting, qualifying, and closing new high-profile Catapult SMS, MMS, Transactional, Push and Mobile Wallet clients
- Work with our partners to cultivate and manage a robust pipeline of prospects and opportunities and meet aggressive quarterly sales quotas
- Manage the entire sales process in support of our partners for large, multi-national mobile marketing engagements
- Develop and maintain expert level knowledge of Vibes’ Catapult and Mobile Wallet offering, including transactional messaging as well as Vibes’ other core platform, products, strategic services, pricing, and market differentiators.
- Demonstrate high-integrity, positivity and relentless focus on the customer
- Set, prepare, conduct, and follow-up on multiple in-person and/or remote sales meetings per week
- Effectively present Vibes’ value proposition in combination with the Channel partners positioning through designing and delivering compelling presentations
- Leverage sales tracking system for sales lead and process organization, reporting and analysis across multiple partners and their prospects/clients
- Responsible for contract negotiations on new business and renewals
- Build and leverage collaborative relationships across multiple departments including Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, Client Service, Finance, Technology and Business Intelligence
- Ensure internal stakeholders including Product & Technology have the latest market insights from prospects & clients to continuously improve Vibes’ mobile relationship management products
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 – 10 years direct or channel sales experience including success selling mobile marketing and cutting edge SaaS engagements or other complex marketing solutions
- Demonstrated success closing substantial contracts through consultative sales techniques
- Professional, high-integrity, reliable, organized, driven and results-oriented
- Proven success pursuing & closing deals with C-level buyers who own the budget & mobile engagement at large mobile marketing clients. Preferred experience in the retail, financial services, hospitality verticals or with Mobile Network Operators
- Demonstrated ability to balance the process of selling in cooperation with a third party partner or in complex multi-party environments with a goal to drive value for all parties
- Demonstrated success “selling the vision” of marketing technology solutions and commitment to clients’ short term AND long term objectives
- Ability to design and deliver client ready presentations independently
- Proven track record of selling value added solutions focused on business outcomes and ROI
- Track record of utilizing sales tracking systems - salesforce.com preferred
- Experience navigating mobile technology providers and their ecosystems highly preferred
- Must thrive in fast paced, ever changing, highly dynamic and innovative environment
- Desire to be a visible, primary driver of revenue growth for the company and also drive industry adoption of a complex, innovative mobile solution
