We are seeking a highly proficient and inspired Senior Software Engineer to lead and mentor our engineering team in the development of innovative and scalable software solutions. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of designing, developing, and deploying complex software systems while ensuring adherence to optimal practices and superior quality standards. Additionally, you will assume a pivotal role in driving technological advancements and mentoring junior engineers to promote their professional growth and development.

You should possess a strong affinity for working in rapidly developing and expanding organizations and possess the requisite background to excel in such environments. You are cognizant of the fast-paced, high-volume, and uncertain nature of operations within the organization and perceive it as an opportunity to deliver substantial outcomes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Quickly gain expertise with Kalderos’ existing environment and business models and provide input on how to continually enhance both.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues to ensure smooth operation of software systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the engineering team to ensure project success.
  • Communicate technical decisions and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Propose and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance software development processes.
  • Lead the technical aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks that could impact project success.
  • Create clear and concise technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design patterns, and API specifications.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant software development experience.
  • 4 years of professional experience with either C# .NET or React (or both)
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Professional experience with one modern javascript framework and one object oriented language.
  • Strong experience with cloud-native platforms is required (Azure preferred).
  • Experience building/maintaining a mature CI/CD development environment
  • Ambition, initiative, and desire to learn new things and seek new responsibilities

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience delivering software for a growth-stage startup
  • Experience with React
  • Experience with C# .NET
  • Experience with dbt and Snowflake

This position can be remote in the United States or hybrid in Chicago, IL or Boston, MA. Expected hours will be Eastern or Central time.

Expected Salary Range: $140-155K base + bonus
