About the Opportunity 

Our Utility Experience team is looking to hire a Front-end Engineer (Typescript/React). This role offers a great opportunity to work with the Engineering team that is responsible for the web application used by our clients and regularly collaborates with designers, application and data teams.

Main Responsibilities: What you’ll do

• Maintain and steward our utility-facing web application
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement a design system that enables our teams to build the UI/UX of the energy future
• Support other teams as they build front-end features
• Develop and steward tools, techniques, and best practices that benefit the entire team
• React to and resolve novel technical, operational, and organizational challenges
• Contribute to our team culture and inclusive environment
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience: What you need

• 2+ years of web application development experience
• Strong React and TypeScript skills
• Some experience developing backend APIs
• Strong desire to learn

Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves

• Java experience is a big plus
• MongoDb, MySQL, DynamoDb, Datadog, AWS
• React Native experience
