We're looking for a Senior Technical Operations Analyst to join our Technical Operations Management (TechOps) team.

In this role, you'll be part of a team responsible for managing and continuously improving the operational processes that support our technology function. The team's scope and impact are broad, from onboarding new products into our trading strategies and managing technical work for exchange upgrades to leading cross-functional initiatives that assess and enhance our operations.

We take full ownership for all processes and projects within our remit, working with leaders to design them well, drive execution, and evaluate outcomes. You'll continuously balance the need for flexibility - so engineers can remain effective - with the structure and control necessary to ensure operational excellence and control risk.

We strive to facilitate fast-paced innovation and value creation across the firm. To do so, we serve as a central coordination point between engineering, trading, compliance, and risk teams.

What you'll do

As a Senior Technical Operations Analyst, your key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with trading, technology, and control teams to drive critical cross-functional projects from initial discussions through to completion.
  • Leading effective meetings with engineering and trading leaders to review incidents, consider necessary improvements, and plan related efforts - challenging them on emerging themes, patterns, and risks.
  • Partnering with leaders across the technology function to optimize operational processes through reviews and deep dives (e.g., assessing whether our testing guidelines are consistently followed in practice).
  • Identifying upcoming technology upgrades at exchanges we trade on and coordinating Optiver's response to them.

What you'll get

You'll join a culture of collaboration and excellence, surrounded by curious thinkers and creative problem-solvers. Motivated by a passion for continuous improvement, you'll thrive in a supportive, high-performing environment alongside talented colleagues, collectively tackling some of the toughest challenges in the financial markets.

In addition, you'll receive:

  • The opportunity to work alongside best-in-class professionals from over 40 different countries.
  • A highly competitive compensation package.
  • Highly competitive compensation package including performance-based bonus structure.
  • 401(k) match up to 50%.
  • Comprehensive health, mental, dental, vision, disability, and life coverage.
  • 25 paid vacation days alongside market holiday.
  • Extensive office perks, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, regular social events, clubs, sporting leagues, and more.

Who you are

  • Hold degree in Computer Science (or a similar field) with a proven track record in engineering and analysis.
  • Have foundational Python scripting skills (or similar), and are comfortable building lightweight tools or automations to aide analysis and operational insights.
  • A pragmatic thinker with strong communication skills, and an aptitude for understanding how complex technical systems work.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with stakeholders across all levels in fast-paced, high-performing environments.
  • Genuinely interested in the financial industry and motivated to learn more.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in related roles.
