Groupon is a mobile-first company, and there’s a lot of emphasis on innovating our mobile experience. The Groupon mobile app recently won 1st place in the Internet Retailer Mobile 500 two years in a row. It was also listed as one of the top 25 apps in the US in 2016, atop the list in the commerce category.

As a Senior UX content strategist at Groupon, you’ll strategize and create the content for the user interface of Groupon products. You’ll be actively engaged in the end-to-end product development process–including defining the problem, brainstorming on the product vision, writing the interface language, and reviewing analytics to understand user behavior to shape messaging direction—while working alongside Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Designers.

We’re looking for someone who is versatile, collaborative, curious and tenacious. You’ll work on web and mobile interfaces, build up our content standards, and elevate the overall quality of our user experience. The work will range from high-level concept strategy to detailed editing. Also, you’ll get to evaluate the usability of new and existing product on an ongoing basis and ensure UX content strategy is effectively implemented cross platform.

As we’re still in the early stage of building the UX Content Strategy team, you’ll define our content standards and influence the overall UX direction of Groupon products, which will impact the experience of millions of customers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working experience with content on web or mobile UX.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent education in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or equivalent experience.

  • Portfolio showcasing an experience across different UX content types such as user interfaces, microcopy, education message, direct or transactional emails and style guides.

  • Experience in building and maintaining a content standard guide in a large cross-functional team environment.

  • Great understanding of constraint and opportunity that technology creates.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Problem-solving skills, user empathy and business acumen.  

  • Experience in commerce-relevant domain would be a big plus.
