Groupon connects millions of customers with businesses in their local community. We offer a constantly expanding catalog of local experiences, travel adventures, and an amazing collections of consumer products to purchase. At the same time, we provide tools that merchants can use to grow their customer base and manage their marketing reach. Community matters to us. We believe that great people make great companies and that starting with the customer always wins.

Our current mission is to evolve Groupon into a daily habit. And it’s a great time to join Groupon since you’ll get to be a part of this transformative journey in every aspect of product development.

As a design team, we champion entrepreneurship, authenticity, collaboration, and quality. We run a tight ship making a huge impact with great visibility in the organization. Check out our team websiteteam video from an offsite this year as well as Medium blogs, and take a peek at our Design team culture.

Groupon is a mobile-first company, and there’s a lot of emphasis on innovating our mobile experience. The Groupon mobile app recently won 1st place in the Internet Retailer Mobile 500 two years in a row. It was also listed as one of the top 25 apps in the US in 2016, atop the list in the commerce category.

As a Senior UX content strategist at Groupon, you’ll strategize and create the content for the user interface of Groupon products. You’ll be actively engaged in the end-to-end product development process–including defining the problem, brainstorming on the product vision, writing the interface language, and reviewing analytics to understand user behavior to shape messaging direction—while working alongside Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Designers.

We’re looking for someone who is versatile, collaborative, curious and tenacious. You’ll work on web and mobile interfaces, build up our content standards, and elevate the overall quality of our user experience. The work will range from high-level concept strategy to detailed editing. Also, you’ll get to evaluate the usability of new and existing product on an ongoing basis and ensure UX content strategy is effectively implemented cross platform.

As we’re still in the early stage of building the UX Content Strategy team, you’ll define our content standards and influence the overall UX direction of Groupon products, which will impact the experience of millions of customers.

Insider's spotlight

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Groupon provides an environment where I can strive for maximum work-life effectiveness, room for growth, and there is always something new to do. I enjoy spending lots of time at work because I love what I do; the hours are not burdensome, Groupon fits me. I define success in my own terms & Groupon provides us with the flexibility to be successful.

Milan

Senior Manager of Operations

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

We are working on arriving at the optimal attribution models across different areas of our business. For example, the attribution of a purchase to a specific experience — a home page feature, an email, a push notification — likely has a different window of time where we can reasonably say a specific purchase is a result of a specific experience.

Kristi

Data Scientist

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Here at Groupon, what you do matters. I got my start at Groupon as an intern and have had the opportunity in the past (almost) 5 years to build out a global volunteer program that has engaged over 5,000 employees in over 63,000 hours of service supporting the work of close to 650 nonprofit organizations.

Alicia

Program Manager, Employee & Community Engagement

Recently, we committed to having 100% of our job descriptions reviewed for gender balance by the end of 2018. Also for 2018, work will continue with our Employee Resource Groups, who play a pivotal part in the attraction and selection of diverse top talent, and themselves can be developed and promoted into company leaders.
