Guild is hiring a Senior Workday Manager. This critical role will be responsible for providing expert guidance, support, and leadership in the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Workday solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into scalable system configurations, and ensure the successful execution of Workday projects. The role will also own our continuous improvement and automation initiatives across a variety of people processes and systems.
As a Senior Workday Manager, responsibilities include:
- System Configuration and Customization: Lead the design and configuration of Workday modules, including but not limited to HCM, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, and Reporting. Customize Workday functionalities to align with client-specific business processes and requirements.
- Implementation and Integration: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of Workday solutions, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Workday with other HR systems and applications.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and best practices to clients and internal teams on Workday functionalities, capabilities, and optimizations. Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct workshops, and deliver tailored solutions that address business needs.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate Workday configurations, integrations, and enhancements. Perform thorough system testing, identify and troubleshoot issues, and ensure the integrity and reliability of Workday data and processes.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and documentation to educate end-users and administrators on Workday functionality, features, and best practices. Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to empower clients and internal teams to effectively utilize Workday solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of Workday updates, releases, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation in Workday solutions. Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement to maximize the value and efficiency of Workday implementations.

The ideal candidate will have:
Required Proficiencies:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Workday implementation, configuration, and support, with a focus on HCM and other relevant modules.
- Proven expertise in configuring and customizing Workday solutions to meet complex business requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex improvement projects with measurable results in operational efficiency, cost reduction, or customer satisfaction.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices, with the ability to translate them into scalable Workday configurations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Proficiencies:
- Workday HCM certification.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) with demonstrated experience in leading DMAIC or similar improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of Agile or other iterative project management methodologies.

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $140,000 - $173,750, as well as company stock options.
