SMB Account Manager

Overview:

Our Skillsoft Global Knowledge team is seeking an experienced SMB Account Manager to be responsible for driving top-line revenue through the expansion of our existing customer base, as well as landing net new logos to Skillsoft. You will have the opportunity to sell our vast Global Knowledge solutions line directly to Small and Medium Business (SMB)  including net new and growth of existing customers.

In this role, the Inside Sales Account Manager should have a proven track record of achievement and will grow an ambitious pipeline of business through aftersales, outbound prospecting, creativity, and team collaboration. You will have the opportunity to sell our Instructor-led portfolio line directly to educational customers which will require the ability to navigate through complex organizations and sell to multiple decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive top-line revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of our Global Knowledge solutions line footprint within a dedicated prospect list
  • Responsible for prospecting and managing a designated territory to maximize revenue growth
  • Work as part of broader international SMB sales team
  • Own responsibility to meet and exceed revenue & sales goals
  • Win by representing a solution line with key competitive differentiators
  • Influence customers and prospects at the lT and development leadership level
  • Establish strategic plans and objectives to drive desired business growth
  • Partner with other Account Executives, marketing and support resources in the successful advancement of critical
    opportunities and market penetration

Skills Required:

  • Exhibits strong prospecting skills and be able to technically communicate to lT teams and developers
  • Salesforce and Outlook proficiency
  • Ability to exceed sales targets, a keen understanding of the steps involved in a sales cycle and ability to
    leverage each stage to advance the sale
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, competitiveness, and demonstrate a positive
    winning attitude
  • Negotiation skills to effectively communicate based on value and time to close
  • Solid understanding of client requirements with ability to clearly articulate the company's offerings to develop
    solutions to meet those requirements

Qualification Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in a new business/acquisition capacity with an Associate’s degree or 3+ years with a Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • Business development/hunter and farmer role sales experience
  • Experience selling directly into IT, Human Resources and Learning & Development departments and have successfully delivered against annual targets based on monthly objectives
  • Ability to follow established processes and provide constructive feedback on processes
  • Experience managing and resolving customer objections and rejections
  • Be process oriented and responsible for strategy development and execution
  • Possess critical thinking, research skills and adaptability, while being able to focus on what matters to the customer

Target hourly rate for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $21 - $26 hourly with average on target earnings including commissions of approximately $87,000 - $110,000 annually.
