Software Engineer (Golang, ETL)

Job Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Software Engineer (Golang, ETL) to join our Data Lake team. This role involves developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and contributing to our extensive data infrastructure.
As an ETL Software Engineer, you will collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum team members to deliver high-quality technical solutions. You'll play a pivotal role in transforming and orchestrating massive data sets, creating impactful solutions that drive innovation and efficiency for our clients' businesses.
What You'll Do

• Design and deliver high-quality solutions in collaboration with the team,
• Participate in design discussions to align your work with the technical vision
• Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of your development processes
• Engage the team for support with issues or blockers to maintain momentum
• Request support with complex technical problems to ensure timely resolution

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 3 - 5 years of software engineering experience, with a focus on ETL and data engineering

• Proficiency in Golang, Python, SQL, and experience with GCP data and ETL tools (e.g., Debezium, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery)
• Experience in implementing RESTful services and APIs.
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to communicate in a team-oriented environment to clarify requirements
• Experience delivering solutions within committed timelines.
• Proven technical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and research abilities.
• Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent experience
