DRW is looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to join an existing equities trading team. You will be involved in all aspects of the trading process; pricing, execution, risk management and data analysis. The core platform is implemented in Java with user interfaces delivered in a browser.

As an engineer on this team, you will be expected to work directly with traders and other software engineers to design, develop and support new and existing systems used by the desk for trading and operational purposes. Ultimately, you and your team are responsible for making sure the desk has the software it takes to be successful.

To qualify for this role, you:

• have professional experience writing software in Java
• can demonstrate expertise in core web technologies (e.g. JavaScript/CSS/HTML)
• can multi-task and apply sound software methodologies
• can communicate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment

Ideally, you also:

• have professional experience writing software in Python or Ruby
• have professional experience working with data-storage (e.g. SQL/Oracle/Riak/etc.)
• have experience with Fixed Income and Equities markets
• have experience designing UIs and working to improve the UX
• are comfortable working from a Linux command-line
