We are seeking an innovative and passionate Software Engineering Manager who is responsible for successfully designing and developing world class products in the voice based marketing space.  The role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design and development of products and features. This role will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA and Operations teams. This role will have ownership of the technical solution from end to end, helping us build a highly scalable application using multiple services within AWS.

As a Software Engineering Manager, your essential duties and responsibilities would be:
 

• Experience building full-stack, complex, efficient applications
• Hands on development in a lead/developer role
• Ability to develop and grow a strong development team. Experience with hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career planning
• Work with product owners and business owners to help define technical requirements
• Build a strong sense of team ownership for the products and services it is responsible for
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and innovation within the team
• Keeping up to speed with fast paced technical landscape and recommending/implementing new technologies where applicable
• Work closely with our architecture team to constantly be in front of scaling/performance issues

The skills and experience you will need include:
5 to 10 years experience with 3+ years acting as a team lead or manager

• Working understanding of Lean and Agile development concepts
• Node.js,PHP, and/or Python experience is a plus
• AWS services, especially DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudFront, Kinesis, Lambda and CodeDeploy experience is a plus
• Previous experience in fostering and growing a strong engineering culture in an agile environment with a focus on shipping fast and shipping often
• Ability to provide and receive collaborative feedback from peer code reviews.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with business units outside of the technology team
• Experience in managing complex projects across multiple teams (Dev, QA, Ops etc)
• Experienced working in a Linux environment
• SQL or NoSQL database experience
• Web analytics experience is a plus
