As a Boomi Principal Business Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining and designing the enterprise architecture approach to customer engagements. This position demands a blend of strategic thought leadership and hands-on technical expertise across the Boomi platform of solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Enterprise Architecture: Define and design the practice of using an enterprise architecture approach to customer engagements.
  • Education and Enablement: Teach, coach, and enable the broader organization on these concepts and processes.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical thought leadership to the field across the entire Boomi platform.
  • Innovation and Integration: Run technology experiments for prospects to aid Boomi in creating and integrating new products and services into steady-state operations.
  • Alignment and Vision: Ensure Boomi’s platform aligns with the shared vision and build strategic partnerships during the sales cycle.
  • Solution Recommendation: Analyze prospects' future-state architectural capabilities and current IT environment to recommend Boomi solutions.
  • Diagnostic Deliverables: Develop actionable deliverables to guide prospects' digital technology decisions.
  • Customer Health Checks: Conduct status checks to understand business initiatives and implementation of Boomi solutions.
  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing architecture recommendations and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate effectively within the organization.
  • Business Discovery: Engage in multi-layer business discovery to uncover value drivers and engage with C-level contacts.
  • Asset Development: Collect and share customer insights to build assets for Boomi Sales and Presales teams.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide expertise directly to customers, engaging in workshops to expand Boomi's footprint.
  • Analysis and Development: Analyze business properties, needs, and external environment; develop value stories aligned with implementing Boomi.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee and maintain an organization's technology systems and architecture.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and expertise to stakeholders.
  • Solution Proposals: Discover and propose solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.

The Experience you bring: 

  • 10+ years of business technical, presales or architecture experience in applications development in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting applications for deployment on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with expertise in cloud-native service offerings.
  • Advanced experience with container orchestration and scalable solutions.
  • Experience in messaging platforms, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with automated configuration management tools and DevOps services.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements.
  • Proven experience leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments.
  • Deep business acumen and experience leading C suite customer discussions.
  • Experience engaging and building relationships with C-level contacts within customer accounts.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in the US ranges between $203,043 - $304,565 annually + applicable bonus. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
