Primary Purpose
The Digital Content Specialist plays a key role in creating, authoring, and publishing digital content that aligns with the Brand's commercial planning calendar. This position is vital in enhancing the customer shopping experience through the management and optimization of digital assets, including site navigation, product information, images, category taxonomy, promotional offers, customer reviews, and internal search details. The Specialist will lead and govern the content publishing process with a high level of expertise in the Content Management System (CMS)
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Author and publish digital content.
  • Construct and manage links for all content placements on web and mobile platforms.
  • Oversee the content publishing process, ensuring accurate timing, customer targeting, and site placements.
  • Learn and utilize Coupon Definition Language (CDL) to create and target digital offers to customers based on specific conditions and basket requirements.
  • Perform detailed QA to ensure the accuracy and functionality of digital offers, ensuring they trigger correctly based on set criteria.
  • Gain insights into the functionality of digital offers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise in the process.
  • Conduct thorough QA to ensure all content is accurate and anticipates potential customer issues before launch.
  • Collaborate with Creative Services, Brand eCommerce, and Channel Planning teams to execute content in line with Brand objectives.
  • Facilitate communication and information flow between Commercial Planning, Creative Services, and Brand eCommerce teams.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues that could delay content production.
  • Interpret business requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the content publishing process.
  • Strategically design and structure content components and targeting logic, ensuring that both content and offers are efficiently built while still achieving the desired brand outcomes.
  • Coordinate tasks across teams and prioritizing work effectively

  • Execute tasks that directly impact customer satisfaction, including promotions and merchandising.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Related experience in digital, e-commerce, retail, project management, or consulting preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing digital content, optimizing customer experiences, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to adapt processes based on feedback and evolving business needs


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or JQL.
  • Strong logical reasoning skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront or JIRA.
  • Experience with Bloomreach Experience or Discovery.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce practices, grocery category management, or web production.
  • Basic understanding of analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or Power BI.
