HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Senior Product Manager, COBRA will be part of an innovative build team designing a state of the art, greenfield platform for our Health & Benefits customers. This role is responsible for leading the product vision and delivery including generating actionable content, orchestrating teams, managing ambiguity and driving outcomes. This role is a trusted peer of a team of engineers, designers, architects and business leaders, with a single focus on developing a solution that delights and delivers value. Individuals that thrive in this role are self-motivated, highly organized, passionate about customer experience, prioritize autonomously, and collaborate in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. This role will be leading the strategy and developing roadmap of our COBRA and Direct Bill products in Health & Benefits, which requires a deep understanding of COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) administration and Direct-Bill solutions. This role will be focusing on compliance, user experience, and market growth. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of COBRA requirements, retiree and/or voluntary benefits billing and health benefits administration, combined with a passion for creating user-centered products that meet evolving regulatory and market demands. The Senior Product Manager will report to the Senior Director, Product Strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Envisions and creates compelling member experiences, including but not limited to interactions online and mobile tools, IVR and customer service interactions, and promotional and/or educational content
  • Habitually conducts and/or participates in end user interviews, focus groups, user testing and rapid experimentation to ensure solutions are exceeding the needs of customers
  • Analyzes customer feedback, market trends, and competitor offerings to shape long and short-term strategy while providing quick and clear value add to the business
  • Monitors product performance metrics and makes data-driven decisions to optimize user experience and business outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, various business lines and Technology to elicit, analyze and understand needs, constraints, risks and alignment with organizational strategy and priorities
  • Works in partnership with the team and stakeholders to employ Agile methods, processes, tools and metrics to deliver value including ongoing product backlog refinement, product roadmaps and release planning
  • Engages and collaborates with the team to create and manage Agile artifacts (e.g. Product Roadmap, Backlog, Release Plan, Lessons Learned) and information needed for prioritization and decision-making
  • Regularly assesses features and costs to determine if and when to proceed with a product
  • Displays an eagerness to teach and help develop others professionally, and exhibit passion and excitement about work to inspire others
  • Other duties as assigned


IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:

  • 7-10 years of experience, preferably in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, Design, Psychology or related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • Background in Health Care or start up strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of COBRA and regulatory environment surrounding it
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules
  • Proven leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, and guide the creation of self-organizing teams
  • Strategic, innovative, and creative thinker with a solid analytic foundation
  • Working knowledge of Agile practices such as iterative development, incremental delivery, backlog management, burn down metrics, velocity and task definition
  • Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills to connect and engage with the team, facilitate discussions, advocate for the team, negotiate with the business, mentor team members, and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously and manage stressful situations
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing junior product managers
  • Ability to provide and accept guidance and constructive feedback
  • Desire for continuous improvement through learning and study of modern product management best practices, UX and user-centered design, and user research techniques
