Purpose:

The Manager (Externally - Senior Product Manager), Key Customer Marketing for PADCEV will be a significant contributor to maximizing brand potential.  This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of key brand strategies and be responsible for execution of peer-to-peer programs (i.e. Speaker Bureau, Product Theaters) and plan/execute convention/congress related activities as well as engage with Key External Experts/Customers.


This person is responsible for flawless planning and execution of convention/congress/product theater initiatives (incl. HCP, AHP and Patient focused events) and detailed development and implementation of promotional tactics working in close collaboration with internal/external partners, including but not limited to: sales, marketing, co-promote partner (Pfizer), vendors, KEEs, professional societies.

The successful individual will gather, synthesize and share insights from these customers and events that contribute to PADCEV's short/long term goals and strategic priorities. 


Specific responsibilities may evolve based on the needs of the brand, product life cycle and/or changing business dynamics.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead tactical execution of peer-to-peer engagement initiatives. Develop and secure MLR approval for content in support of peer-to-peer initiatives. Partner with the PADCEV KEE Strategist to identify, coach and train speakers as necessary.  Lead annual speakers' bureau justification process.
  2. Lead planning and execution of commercial customer-focused activities at Congresses, POAs, Product theaters, Field visits, and other venues including the facilitation of meaningful engagements between Astellas and KEEs in a compliant manner (i.e. via receptions, small group meetings, 1:1 discussions, etc.).
  3. Assist in the execution of commercial ad boards to gain actionable insights.
  4. Contribute to Brand strategies by engaging with KEEs at events to gather and synthesize insights that inform brand strategies and tactical plans.
  5. Responsible for understanding and adhering to all Astellas SOPs regarding the submission, contracting, compliant execution, tracking, and reporting of all KEE initiatives and engagements.
  6. Track and manage a detailed budget for all KEE initiatives.
  7. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Organizational Context:

This position presents a significant opportunity to assess, recommend, and lead activities that will directly influence the short and long-term strategies and success of PADCEV. This position requires:  a proven and high proficiency level of collaboration across numerous functions and external stakeholders; strong strategic planning and tactical execution; a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional communication and relationship building skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

  • Significant experience engaging with Key External Experts in the field of Oncology.
  • High degree of clinical acumen, preferably in urothelial cancer.
  • High level of Professional Maturity; Emotional Intelligence; Proactive Leadership; and experience engaging/interacting with influential customers.
  • Familiarity and understanding of Marketing fundamentals and bridging strategy to execution and measurement.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years of related, relevant experience in pharma (marketing, sales, sales training, etc.).
  • Deep oncology therapeutic knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with KEEs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnosis business challenges and recommend solutions for brand strategic/tactical plan inclusion.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage simultaneous initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • New brand or indication launch experience.
  • Ability to travel 40% or more if needed.

Preferred:

  • MBA or other related graduate level degree.
  • Existing KEE relationships in urothelial cancer.
  • Recent experience in launching a new drug and/or indication.
  • Experience working in a partnership / co-promotion.

Flexible grade level based on candidate background and skillset



Salary Range:  $122,500 – 192,500 (Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and organizational equity considerations)
