The Senior Program Manager, Analytics & Data Science leads our portfolio of internally developed ML/AI solutions at US Foods. This role owns the full solution lifecycle—from research through deployment—ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to business priorities. The PM acts as a central coordination hub across the Analytics & Data Science (ADS) team, business stakeholders, and our Digital & Technology partners, driving cross-functional alignment, managing dependencies, and ensuring consistent execution.
This role is critical to scaling our impact by ensuring our most strategic AI initiatives are well-managed and deliver measurable business outcomes.
This position is remote which means the work is completed from anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Own end-to-end delivery of analytics and ML/AI initiatives across business domains, from concept through deployment and measurement
  • Partner closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Digital & Technology partners, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
  • Develop and manage roadmaps, project plans, and delivery cadences for high-priority initiatives
  • Define and evolve portfolio management processes, including intake, prioritization, tracking, and reporting
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and maintain delivery momentum
  • Maintain a clear view of dependencies, resourcing, and delivery timelines
  • Create and maintain executive-ready status reports and communications and ensure regular engagement and alignment with business sponsors and executive stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the SVP, helping align team efforts with overall strategy

  • No direct reports

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Analytics & Data Science teams; US Foods’ Senior Leadership Team; Commercial, Supply Chain, Digital & Technology, and other corporate functions

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally in data science, analytics, or enterprise software
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs with technical and business complexity
  • Strong technical fluency—comfortable engaging in conversations on machine learning concepts, data infrastructure, cloud environments, and agile methodologies
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional programs
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Airtable, or Smartsheet, and project/portfolio dashboards

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (STEM, business, or similar)

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING

  • PMP Certification preferred

LICENSES

  • N/A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or technical master’s degree
  • Background in consulting, enterprise product management, or a technical role in data/AI domains

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between

$95,000 - $155,000
