The Role

Your impact:
You will have the opportunity to guide the maintenance control team as they support the repair and return-to-service of the Intelsat WiFi system on customer aircraft. You will act as a conduit between maintenance control and our operations teams to ensure that work is prioritized and executed efficiently. You will also serve as a valuable resource for the maintenance controllers, ensuring they the ability to effectively accomplish daily tasks.
What you will do:

  • Provide oversight for aircraft maintenance controllers, ensuring that all maintenance plans are executed successfully, and departmental processes are implemented.
  • Prioritize the daily workload for maintenance controllers to meet the needs of our airlines.
  • Monitor communications with our customer, which includes emails, phone calls, and meetings, and ensure that all requests for information receive an acceptable response.
  • Maintain a 24/7 schedule that provides adequate and balanced coverage.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports and provide constructive feedback that promotes growth and development.
  • Accomplish projects and assignments as needed, which are sometimes broad in nature, and occasionally require engagement with cross functional teams.


Your required experience skills:

  • Four-year degree in aviation related field or equivalent work experience
  • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Avionics maintenance experience
  • Aircraft operations and maintenance planning experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • This role is subject to ITAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).

  • Ensure team effectively anticipates and addresses customer needs
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsIt would be nice if you had:
  • Previous experience in aircraft maintenance supervisory role
  • Boeing and Airbus aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with online aircraft maintenance manuals and parts catalogs
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing aircraft maintenance
