What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a Supply Chain and Quality Manager to join the Fast Radius team. This position is a two-part role. He/she will have the opportunity to play a key role in the organization of processes that help support the efficiency of our Production facilities and external production network. The first part of the role is to lead our Quality Management System. The second part of this role is to develop and manage our external production partner network.

This leader will enjoy sharing and ensure standards in the workplace to support compliance. They will identify, vet and onboard external production partners. In this role, the ideal candidate will be working with all teams from sales, production, design, receiving to shipping parts.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage Fast Radius’ compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100D:

  • Teach internal classes on quality systems, develop procedures, organize documents and perform internal audits

  • Work with all teams to ensure the processes supply the best quality to our customers

  • Lead our internal and external quality departments and teach necessary people the proper use of measuring equipment, frequency of inspection and recording inspection results

  • Set up, develop and maintain our inspection equipment and area for repeatable results

  • Collaborate with team members for best procedures to ensure timely delivery of parts with the highest quality possible

  • Be the primary driver of the Corrective Actions system and diagnose further solutions when needed

  • Develop standards for part quality for usage in Production parts and prototypes

  • Work with project teams to determine the best methods for controlling quality throughout the process for special projects

Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage and maintain Fast Radius’ external production partner network

  • Identify production partners, vet to ensure suppliers meet FR standards, perform periodic supplier audits to ensure compliance with required quality management systems

  • Manage strategic and tactical relationships with production partners

  • Maintain performance metrics
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in a similar position
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPS
  • Experience in quality systems for manufacturing and assembly techniques
  • PMP and/or ASQ certification highly desired
  • Experience with Product Development processes, NPI, and decision making processes
  • Proficient in common software tools and data collection and graphing
  • Experience in plastic tooling and part design and other manufacturing methods a plus
  • Understanding of additive manufacturing and engineering materials for both prototyping and production
  • Attention to detail and ability to communicate and collaborate with internal teams and clients is a must
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
