The Vice President of Marketing will oversee corporate marketing and communications functions for GTI. A successful Vice President of Marketing will build the GTI brand and expand our mission throughout the industry across the nation. You will be responsible for developing and executing the GTI corporate marketing strategy for the organization, thought leadership, public relations, digital, corporate communications and event marketing.  As the Vise President of Marketing you will be a go to person for the Executive Team to define marketing’s overall strategy with a lens of driving customer growth.  You will work with other stakeholders to develop content and messaging that reinforces the product offering’s benefits and values. 

 

Responsibilities

    • Partner with executive team to define the marketing strategy with specific focus on driving brand awareness of GTI’s portfolio brand.
    • Build GTI’s brand visibility within the cannabis industry focusing on public relations, social media marketing, content marketing, speaking opportunities, etc.
    • Partner with executive team to develop strategic communication materials (i.e. investor decks, etc) for key stakeholders
    • Communicate and drive/expand awareness of GTI corporate brand, its partners, leaders, thought leadership, and culture across key social media networks: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook
    • Support new business development and content marketing activities including SEO/SEM, offline marketing, PR, and social media
    • Author and edit communications to promote GTI including, case studies, blog posts, thought leadership, etc
    • Own GTI website
    • Support Brand & Retail Team in development and execution of new product development communication strategies and tactics with sales for wholesale and retail business
    • Define, compile, interpret, and report key metrics tied to company growth, sales execution and marketing activities
    • Drive partnership community engagement through promotion of success and opportunities in GTI markets
    • Drive company vision, messaging and brand consistency; instill a growth-minded culture

Requirements

    • 7+ years of proven marketing communications and corporate marketing leadership
    • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related degree
    • Experienced in developing and building B2B/B2C corporate marketing communication content
    • Experience working with consumer packaged goods and/or retail industry
    • Experience owning corporate web presence and website
    • Advanced skills in MS Office programs and marketing platforms
    • Strong collaboration and project management skills with an ability to work effectively with different people within an organization
    • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
    • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
    • Possesses a high level of critical thinking
    • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
    • High attention to detail and accuracy

Additional Requirements

    • Must pass any and all required background checks
    • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

We operate across multiple states nationwide, so the biggest technical challenge can be the lack of clarity on what can and cannot be done.
