Job Description:
What You'll Do
Provides strategic direction for the design and development of Authentication and Fraud products and services and for the Dispute platform for Discover Global Network. Leads an organization responsible for defining product strategies and roadmaps, leveraging market insights to develop best-in- class products and solutions required to support network partners' strategies. Ensures strategic direction, project approach, prioritization and execution are aligned so that business goals are achieved utilizing a collaborative team-based approach across business units. In addition, overall management of the Authentication, Fraud and Disputes business area including financial forecasting, budgeting, while contributing to operational, product and project strategy and direction.
Creates a culture of effective risk management, accountability, and demonstration of risk awareness across the organization.
How You'll Do It
- Leads the org responsible for Product Strategy, including assessing new market trends and opportunities to define roadmap, anticipating and analyzing market changes to develop capabilities such as APIs and cloud-based software products necessary to successfully compete in the market. Teams translate business needs into requirements to be shared with partners such as technology, operations, and marketing.
- End-to-end ownership of product development life cycle, including technology interface, tactical execution, development & testing, and product delivery in an agile environment to support network business partners
- Represent Global Products externally in developing partnerships with senior level partners, negotiation and management of third party contracts and advocacy with industry groups and government agencies
- Manage oversight of all financial aspects of the Fraud and Disputes capabilities including but not limited to forecasting of incentives, business unit expenses and headcount
- Attract, develop and retain a large team in an enterprise environment
Qualifications You'll Need
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
- Bachelors Business Administration and Management, Finance, Engineering
- 10+ years Financial services, strategy, analytics, technical product management, or related
- 4+ years Payments industry interaction
