The sales role - based in our Chicago office - is an entry-level inside sales position that quickly grows within this and other sales teams at Sphera. All reps will be ramped up with a progression of classroom and live practice to begin their sales journey. Once they establish a level of productivity and command of the role, our teams transition to focus on specific categories and more lucrative accounts.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial Inside Sales environment. Utilization of both proactive outbound calling and quick response to inquiries in order to build a solid pipeline and exceed your annual quota. Skilled at leveraging proven consultative sales methodologies to analyze the prospect’s businesses, and address their changing automation needs. Develop and manage a follow up cadence to systematically nurture potential prospects that aren’t quite ready for the big show. Participate in interactive training & educational sessions to stay abreast of changes in Sphera solutions, sales, and the industry. Probably common sense to most sales hunters, but you are accountable to achieve objectives as outlined in the Sales Compensation Plan.

Develop and implement approval processes for commercial pricing including discounting rules and nonstandard deal terms with the relevant approver responsibility matrix. Create and enable commercial best practices around deal structures that adhere to company policies around Revenue Recognition, Discount and Gross Margin targets. Facilitate deal structuring by developing custom terms and obtaining all subsequent approvals. Maintain scalable operations and feedback loop to deal stakeholders to increase contract velocity and efficiency. Develop an in-depth understanding of subscription model, service/product offerings and recommended contract structures guidance to increase profitability and meet strategic KPIs. Analyze historical won deals for trends and insights to recommend best practices to cross-functional leadership. Support sales leaders in structuring and execution of the company’s most complex opportunities and be the key cross-functional contact for required escalations.

The account executive is responsible for achieving assigned sales targets, with new logo accounts, within an assigned territory or vertical market segment. He or she will manage the entire sales/buying process, including demand generation, lead qualification, solution development/presentation, opportunity management, negotiations and close. The account executive will develop and demonstrate industry expertise on key business issues, regulatory issues and change, key business processes and nomenclature as well as develop and demonstrate industry domain expertise. The account executive will be responsible for driving sales opportunities in his/her industry vertical.
