A heavy-hitting suburban tech company just announced it’s setting up shop in downtown Chicago, with plans to bring on upwards of 30 staffers.
(not to be confused with the nationwide retailer) announced on Thursday the grand opening of their new, 4500-sqaure-foot office at 2 North Lasalle. The downtown space is in addition to their headquarters in Des Plaines, which already staffs about 300 workers.
Americaneagle.com began building and hosting websites in 1994 — about 15 years after it founding in 1978. Since then, the company has grown into a tech company of fast-growing proportions. The company has landed on Inc.’s 500/5000 fastest growing companies on more than one occasion, and was included in Built In Chicago’s own list of top digital tech employers in Chicago in 2015.
And they’re not stopping at 30. Besides the 30 jobs being created in the initial move, the company said it also has every intention of increasing that headcount every year.
In addition to its local offices, Americaneagle.com has presence across the nation and around the globe, including tech hotspots like Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., New York, Philadelphia, London, and Buenos Aires.
Despite their presence outside of the Midwest, however, the company remains proud of its Chicagoland roots.

"Chicago has some of the world’s top tech talent, and we look forward to expanding our team with managers, designers, developers, and others to ensure we continue producing world-class online products and services for our existing clients and new ones. Additionally, it will be a great base in which to better serve those with a downtown headquarters.”
