How to start your business: Venture Start, Jul 10 at 6 p.m.

The Illinois SBDC at UIC is kicking off a four-part workshop series designed to help entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground. Part one will cover the steps needed to start a businesses, available resources and how the SBDC at UIC can assist prospective founders.

The Changing Landscape of Cybersecurity Regulation, July 11 at 5:30 p.m.

This panel will discuss the recently revealed financial cybersecurity regulations for New York state. Regulation experts from Wipfli, technologists from ThirdPartyTrust and financial experts will provide advice on how to navigate and comply with these new standards.

2017 Chicago Innovation Summit, July 12 at 1 p.m.

Hundreds of attendees will converge on the Harold Washington Library Center for the 2017 Chicago Innovation Summit. The six-hour event will feature over 20 speakers and five different panels.

EdTech Chicago Meetup: Karl Hughes and Incremental Software, July 12 at 6 p.m.

July's iteration of Chicago's edtech meetup group will feature a talk by Karl Hughes, CTO at The Graide Network. The talk will cover incremental software development, a way of thinking that sees software as individual modules that are ever-changing and evolving.
