14 days and over 200 nominations later, Chicago has spoken and the 50 "Coolest" Startups were published today! If you have not already heard; the CEC, in conjunction with the Sixth Annual Momentum Awards Dinner, has launched a city-wide contest to identify Chicago's Coolest Startup.
So, why "Cool" you ask? We want to involve the community as much as possible in this contest, and are leaving the interpretation up to you. This could mean your favorite startup is growing quickly, has an awesome team, is building innovative products, or soving big issues (just a few examples of "cool"). Your nominations let us know there are some really great Chicago based startups that deserve recognition! The only criteria for the contest is the company must be based in Chicagoland, be less than 3 years old, and have fewer than 15 employees.
Voting only lasts a week, so make sure you have a say here. The top 10 startups will be invited to pitch at 1871 in front of their fans and an awesome panel of judges on September 12th. (Want to attend? Register here). After the fun, a combination of our panelists and public vote will determine who moves on present at the Momentum Awards Dinner.
