In conjunction with the Sixth Annual Momentum Awards Dinner on October 2nd at Millennium Park, the CEC, is announcing the launch of the first annual city-wide contest to identify Chicago’s Coolest Startup!
Do you know of a startup that is growing quickly, building innovative solutions, solving big challenges … or just gaining awesome traction in their industry? If so, now is the time to get them on the ballot!
Award finalists and their fans will be invited to a pitch night at 1871 to determine who will present to over 1,000 guests at the Momentum Awards Dinner gala and be crowned Chicago’s Coolest Startup.

The Details
August 15th: Nominations open
August 30th: Voting begins
September 6th: Voting ends
September 12th: Ten finalists will pitch at 1871 (in Merchandise Mart) in front of their fans and an awesome panel of judges
October 2nd: Five finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their startup during the Momentum Awards, while the top three will get on stage and present to the more than 1,000 attendees (who will be live-voting to ultimately crown the Coolest Startup in Chicago!).
Qualifications
There are three criteria for the competition:
1) Company must be based in Chicagoland
2) Company must be 3 years old or less
3) Company must have 15 employees or less
