Bike-friendly Companies?

I have had bikes on my mind lately (which is not unusual). I recently suggested that if you are an entrepreneur or a small company executive, you should have a lawyer who rides his bike to work.

On the subject of riding bikes to work... I would love to see a persistent document here on Built in Chicago that publicizes which companies are most bike-friendly. Our Mayor, commendably, is doing a great deal for bike commuting, including protected and better marked lanes (check out Kinzie near the Mart). Hopefully, employers are finding ways to support his efforts.

I suspect that downtown-based, early-stage and tech companies skew above average on the bike-friendliness scale, given the lifestyles of the people who work there. Viewpoints Network, where I previously worked, was in a River North building that offered bike storage and showers, which was outstanding. Matt (our founder and CEO) was known to pedal to work himself from time to time.

So, what is bike-friendliness to you, and how bike friendly is your workplace?
