Please help this young, hungry startup improve its product! (Details below!)
EveningFlow makes it simple to discover local bars and restaurants by telling you what’s happening inside and putting everything you need to search in one place. The idea started out as a “scratch your own itch” concept, but after interviewing hundreds of users and venues, there were problems that needed solving. Today, people use Yelp and Google to find and pick a place to go. However, the information is old and murky. For recent information, users don’t always want to follow venues on Twitter. EveningFlow augments how we search, making it fluid to discover venues in the city/town, see what they offer, get helpful information (price, WiFi, parking, etc.), and browse real-time updates for specials, new menu items, games on TV, live music, etc. Our platform solves the discovery process by simplifying information to pick the right place for your mood right now.
We hope to help our fellow humans, as well as the local bars and restaurants that work so hard to put smiles on our faces.
And here we are…
OUR SITE TEST:
On Thursday, June 7th, we are holding a user testing session at 1871 (12th Floor, Merchandise Mart). We will need roughly 60 volunteers to come in and use our site. We will be holding 4 tests in 15 person groups between 6PM and 8PM. Each test runs for 25 minutes, so it's not a long commitment. This is our final round of A/B testing, identifying bugs, and reviewing our UX as we prepare for launch.
Ideal Testers:
- App users
- Critical eyes
- Constructive criticizers
- Patrons of bars and/or restaurants
- Social people
- Picky people
- Friendly people
If you are serious and can commit to helping us, please sign up for a testing slot via the link below.

Thank you very much for your help!!! Your feedback will also help us tweak our mobile app. We don't have much money so we're buying pizza and beverages for our volunteers.
A special thank you goes out to our family at Code Academy and 1871 for providing a supportive community to help us with this event.
If you are not interested in testing but would still like be notified when we launch, please give us your email at eveningflow.com so we can notify you.

Hey Jim,
I would be more than happy to help out and test, but isnt this the same time (and location) as the big Built in Chicago launch event?
- Andrew Parnell
Thanks for the note, Andrew. That was not intentional! We love BIC! Facility-wise, this was the optimal date and time. Each of these 15 person tests run for 25 minutes, so it shouldn't take too much time away from the few individuals who can help us but also want to attend the BIC Launch.
...and I just realized ive been saying "Jim" when your name is "Jin." Wow, my bad! Sorry about that. :)
Sounds great Jim, thanks for the response. Ill go ahead and sign up for the first group, hopefully I can give some great feedback and then make it over before any of the presentations start. Look forward to meeting you tomorrow!
