Culture Prevails! Centro Hosts Startup Institute's 2nd TalentExpo

At Startup Institute, we focus on culture from Day 1.

In reality, we focus on it from before Day 1. Throughout the admissions process for our eight-week career accelerator, we emphasize cultural fit for our program, and by extension, cultural fit for the wild world of startups – where adaptability, optimism and drive are must-haves for someone to be successful as an entrepreneurial employee.

Outside of our program, we’re also interested in how to build a better company culture for our own Startup Institute employees. We’ve brought together a bunch of awesome professionals from the startup community (Belly, ContextMedia, SproutSocial, Rightpoint and BrightTag) to meet for a monthly roundtable on the topic.

So to get to the point: next week we’re excited to be hosting our signature Student TalentExpo and graduation event at the River North headquarters of Centro, voted Crain’s Chicago Business journal's #1 Place to Work for three consecutive years. Three. Consecutive. Years. This is due in no small part to CEO Shawn Riegsecker’s emphasis on company culture – and making sure employees feel happy, safe and fulfilled.

We want those same values for our students, all of whom are about to embark on their startup and tech company journey as high-impact employees. If you’re looking to hire talented developers, designers, technical marketers, or salespeople, join us at Centro next Thursday, April 24th to celebrate Chicago startup and tech culture, learning, and our students.
