It's crazy to think that this was just an idea in an email four months ago, but here we are launching it!
In short, Code Academy is a 12-week intensive program that teaches people with little to no programming experience how to build web applications. We will be teaching students Ruby on Rails and how to take the ideas in their head and them a reality through software.
It’s extremely exciting because we have been trying to do this ourselves for the past year and would have loved if something like this was already out there when we started!
It's been amazing to see the outpouring of support we have received in the first ten hours after launching Code Academy. From Twitter, Facebook, emails, and text messages, we know that we are not alone in trying to solve this problem.
