Colin Keeley: So once you are pretty sure there is a problem worth solving here. What are the next steps? How did you go about finding a solution and deciding this is actually worth quitting your jobs to pursue it?
Landon Shoop: Yeah we just recently took the plunge. We said screw our mortgage, screw student loans and we dove right in. But that was a very thoughtful decision and so before we even started writing a line of code, my co-founder and I talked to as many people as we could to see if my experience was unique or if there a lot of people having this problem. We talked to entry-level employees all the way up to C-level executives and HR business partners, basically anyone we could to identify how prevalent this problem was. We found out that the most common issue is that the process lacked any sort of efficiency and transparency. It was at that point right we were like, okay we’ve got something here and there’s a big enough pain here that we should continue.
