HY Connect is back on the 2013 list of Top 20 agencies in Chicago. We came in at number 17 after falling out of the Top 20 in the last Crain’s ranking in 2011. The ranking is based on the number of local full-time professional staff. The list is inclusive of marketing agencies and PR firms within Chicago as well as the surrounding six counties. Of Crain’s top 25 agencies, only nine are independent and HY Connect is the 7th largest independent agency.
Crain’s also noted each agency’s service offerings including: branding and identity, corporate communications, digital (including search, mobile, and social media), direct marketing, media buying and planning, media relations, promotion and event marketing, public relations, traditional advertising. Only three agencies on the list offer services in every category. HYC is one of them.
Even more impressive is the rate of growth year over year. Between 2011 and 2012, we boosted our agency ranks by 70%. That’s more than any other agency. Much of this expansion is a direct result of the incredible growth we have experienced from existing accounts and our continued emphasis on adding new complimentary services like Social Media (which we accomplished in our recent acquisition of lonelybrand.
Crain’s listing carries a great deal of credibility with Chicago based companies and should help to add to an already growing reputation in Chicago which impacts both new business as well as agency recruitment.
